Waiting list · Last updated October 2026

This page explains what Signals does with the information you give us when you join the waiting list or ask us to open in your city. Signals is a private product in testing.

What we collect

  • Your email address and name.
  • The links you share to show your work (up to three).
  • Your answers to the waiting-list questions: how you heard about us, your role, how many hours a week you give your career and what stage it’s at, your city, and how you work and connect today, including anything you write in your own words. Every question after your city can be skipped.
  • If you say yes to a chat on WhatsApp, your phone number.
  • Whether you want news and updates from us.
  • Your approximate country, taken from your connection. Never your IP address.
  • If you use “Add your city”, the city you type.

Your spot is saved as soon as you accept the terms on the first screen, and each answer as you give it, so stopping halfway loses nothing.

Why

To manage the waiting list, decide who gets invited and when, contact you about your access, and understand how music people connect so we can build a better product. If you say yes to a chat, to arrange it. News and updates only if you opt in.

Legal basis

Your consent when you join the list, and our legitimate interest in running it well.

Who handles it

We don’t sell your data. It is stored and emailed to us through Microsoft Azure (Static Web Apps, Table Storage, Communication Services). Nobody else receives it.

How long

While the waiting list is active. Then we delete it. Your phone number, if you give it, only until we’ve had the chat, and never more than six months.

Counting visits

We count visits to this page, how far down people read and how far they get through the waiting list. We do it without cookies and without anything that identifies you: nothing is stored on your device, and we keep no IP address and no device or visit ID, only the country and the site you came from. These counts can’t be linked to you or to your sign-up, and they stay in Microsoft Azure like everything else. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we don’t count your visit at all.

Images

Some of the people in the photos on our home page are generated with AI. They are not real people.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).
